Gananoque is hosting eight special visitors this winter.

A team of six sled dogs and two Siberian Husky therapy dogs will be visiting Carveth Care Centre on Jan. 10.

The visit is a special event hosted by the home as a way to introduce the grace, strength and intelligence of the animals. The visit is also a chance for residents to learn how to harness the dogs and learn the commands used by mushers.

The dogs, owned by Greg Martin, can be seen in the Carveth Multipurpose Room and an adjoining outdoor demonstration area beginning at 3 pm.

Visitors are asked to use the entrance at 338 Herbert Street.

Admission is free and refreshments will be served. Everyone welcome.
