Long-Term Care at Carveth Care Centre

Carveth Care Centre provides long-term care for individuals who require 24-hour nursing care and assisted daily living. Care is delivered by a multidisciplinary team that includes registered nurses, registered practical nurses, personal support workers, and allied health professionals.

Each resident receives an individualized care plan developed in collaboration with families, physicians, and the care team, with a focus on dignity, comfort, and quality of life.

Carveth Care Centre is a one-level home designed for accessibility and ease of movement. The home includes six resident wings, three nursing stations, and a total of 104 long-term care beds. All resident rooms include:

A Nurse Call System

A nurse call bell system is installed in every suite to enhance resident safety and quick assistance.

Storage Space

Closet and storage space are provided in all suites to support residents’ organisational needs.

Garden or Outdoor View

Rooms include windows overlooking gardens or outdoor spaces to provide natural light and a calming environment.

All residents receive the same level of services and care, regardless of suite type.

On-Site Health and Support Services

Residents in long term care receive comprehensive support and services including a registered nurse on duty 24 hours a day, medication administration and supervision, assistance with personal care, mobility and daily living, visiting physician and visiting medical advisor support, physiotherapy services on site, pharmacy services, daily recreational and social programming, daily housekeeping services, and personal laundry services if desired.

Long-Term Care Amenities

Amenities are designed to support comfort, engagement, and connection, and include resident lounges and activity spaces, an interdenominational chapel, landscaped outdoor areas and paved walking paths, hair salon services, and wheelchair accessible transportation for outings and appointments.

Long-Term Care Dining Experience

Meals are prepared fresh on-site and served daily in a social dining environment. Carveth follows a four-week rotating menu and offers two entrée choices at each meal. Snacks and nourishments are available throughout the day.


Menus are reviewed by a registered dietitian and are designed to meet nutritional requirements while accommodating dietary needs and preferences.
